Tax Deadline is Here: Find Out Which Post Offices Will Be Open Late

The date to file your income taxes has arrived. Several post offices in Gwinnett will be open past regular hours, including Peachtree Corners, to accommodate last-minute tax filers on Monday, April 15.

The date to file federal tax returns has finally arrived. If you have not yet submitted your return, Monday, April 15 is the day.

More and more tax filers are turning to the Internet to file electronically, but if you're mailing your return, some U.S. Post Offices around town will be open later than the normal 5 p.m. closing time.

Listed are U.S. Post Offices in Gwinnett County that will be open past 5 p.m. on Monday, April 15.

1. Boggs Road Postal Store, 1605 Boggs Road, Duluth, Open 9 - 7 p.m.
2. Lawrenceville Crogan, 122 E. Crogan Street, Lawrenceville. Open 8:30 - 6 p.m.
3. Peachtree Corners, 5600 Spalding Drive, Peachtree Corners, Open 8:30 - 6 p.m.
4. Suwanee, 990 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suwanee, 8:30 - 6 p.m.

And if you can't make those deadline times, the main post office in Atlanta at 3900 Crown Road will be open from 6 a.m. - until midnight.

Atlanta District Manager Sal Vacca suggests stopping by early in the day to avoid long lines of last-minute filers.
