Tuesday is Election Day. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Peachtree Corners voters have three items on the ballot.
1. SPLOST - the three-year 1 cent sales tax extension is up for voters to approve. If passed it would provide Peachtree Corners with an estimated $19 million which the city would devote to transportation improvements such as roads, sidewalks, bike paths, intersection improvements, etc.
2. Redevelopment Powers Referendum: As explained in a report on the city's website, this is a financing tool that the city can use to create Tax Allocation Districts (TADS) which developers may use to finance the redevelopment of blighted or undeveloped areas. Read more on the redevelopment powers on the city's website.
