FPA of Georgia Career Day

 ,   Add to calendar
4400 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE Atlanta GA 30346  See map

We’re shaking up Career Day at FPA-GA. This year, we’re combining industry education and speed interviewing. You’ve heard of “speed dating,” right? We’ve taken that concept and applied it to Career Day. No, we’re not finding you a date. We’re helping you find a career opportunity and learn more about the industry.

Prior to the event, you’ll receive a ZIP file with job descriptions from hiring companies. Some companies may be hiring immediately. Other companies may be hiring later in the year. Concurrently, companies attending the event will receive a ZIP file with each attendees’ resume, if provided.

The event’s program will be as follows:

4:00PM – 4:30PM |Networking

We’ll begin the event by giving you time to check-in, network and grab some food. We’ll provide heavy h’orderves and non-alcoholic beverages. We’ll also have freebies.

4:30PM – 5:30PM | Panel Discussion

Next, we’ll present a panel of company representatives – each representing a different model and service approach to the financial planning community (e.g. RIA, Broker-Dealer, insurance advisor, planning only, etc.).  The panel will give you an overview of their corporate structure – including such topics as their compensation models and training programs.

5:30PM – 7:PM | Speed Interviewing

After the panel discussion, you will be given an opportunity to meet with company representatives using a speed interviewing method. Company representatives will be stationed at tables set up around the room. You will rotate from each table every ten minutes. In this way, you will learn more about each company and broaden your knowledge of the financial services industry.  We’ve attached helpful tips to make your speed interviewing experience a success.

We look forward to seeing you at our new and improved Career Day! Click here to register as an attendee. Click here to register as a company representative.

Is there any contact information for pet fostering? The ad says, "Contact us for moreRead More details" but doesn't say who "us" is...

This touches one of the problems with a Fri pick up schedule. Folks who take weekend trips areRead More caught with either leaving the cans out or missing out by not putting their trash out. Since homeowners have zero choices under our government mandated trash plan to pay in advance for service without the ability to change carriers with different pick up dates, leaving the cans out is the results. IF the new city can change our pickup day to Mon or Tue this problem would be stopped or reduced

This is one of those "government mandated" services that actually are worth while. ImagineRead More 5 different garbage collectors going around PC every week stopping at every 5th home. But perhaps the city will attempt to get earlier in the week service for us. My household has good relations with our neighbors and they are more than happy to do the chore for us, as we they.

It's my understanding that a Monday or Tuesday pickup day is one of the stipulations in the RFP theRead More city sent out. You can review the RFP on the city's website.
