New Relay For Life Teams Needed

Have you or someone you know been touched by cancer? Then choose to take a stand and join the fight with the Gwinnett Relay For Life.

No matter your ethnicity, economic status or age, most people have felt the effects of this devastating disease.
Relay For Life is an overnight team event that provides a way for communities to take up the fight against cancer.

Teams are formed through businesses, schools, churches, neighborhoods and civic organizations.  Members of teams take turns walking the track throughout the night and into the morning.  This symbolizes that cancer does not sleep and that our community will not rest until a cure is discovered.

Teams are often formed to rally around a family member, friend, or co-worker who is fighting or has lost their battle with cancer.

The Gwinnett Relay for Life needs more teams of family members, friends, co-workers and survivors in an effort to raise funds and awareness to find a cure.

There is a meeting specifically for new Team Captains, Thurs., Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth.
