Looking For a New Dining Option?

G.A.B.B.A., the new restaurant on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, offers a panoramic view, outdoor and indoor dining and plenty of entertainment.

Along busy Peachtree Industrial Boulevard is a new restaurant and bar with a rather catchy name, G.A.B.B.A.'s - and a great view. The eatery's spacious patio offers a tree-top view of the surrounding area.

Great American Burger Boutique & Ale, or G.A.B.B.A. for short, opened in May in the space once occupied by Three Dollar Cafe. And just as the name suggests, it's known for its Black Angus burgers - and selection of 30 craft beers.

The restaurant also offers a nice selection of sandwiches and entrees such as Grilled BBQ Salmon and a Bistro Steak which is bacon wrapped and topped with melted blue cheese.

But, it's the burgers that is the most popular says Brian Sanford, the executive chef and one of the three owners and managing partners.

"We serve gourmet burgers that are globally influenced such as the Mediterranean-themed Socrates, the Southerner that comes with Pimento Cheese and Bacon Marmalade and the Hawaiian, a Teriyaki glazed burger with ham and pineapple.

"We're a scratch kitchen," said Sanford. "Nothing is frozen, all items are prepared in house including our fries which are also cut in house."

Sanford's partners are Kris Coker and Benny Heo. You'll find Sanford's photography and Coker's artwork hanging on the walls, which are all for sale. "The restaurant welcomes local artists to display their work too," said Sanford.

There is also over 20 televisions all tuned into different sports channels which is "great for viewing sports," noted Sanford. And if you're an NFL aficionado - the restaurant comes complete with the NFL package which means every NFL game is televised. The UFC fights are also on TV and there is no cover charge to watch the pay-per-view bouts said Sanford.

There's loads of entertainment too. "Saturday is Open Mike night," said Sanford. "Anyone can come with their guitar and play." Other nights feature Karoke, poker and trivia contests.

The restaurant is located on the second floor of The Shops at Berkeley Lake shopping center, and the large patio offers a nice view from the surrounding area.
