Norcross High Student Among 2014 National Scholastic Art Award Winners

Four Gwinnett students will have artwork on display nationally.

Four student artists from Gwinnett County earned top reviews of their artwork during the 2014 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program.

Their art will be on display nationally, according to a press release from Gwinnett County Schools.

The students from Brookwood High, Grayson High, Mill Creek High, and Norcross High are part of a select group of 1,000 young artists in grades 7-12 who will be part of the “Art.Write.Now. 2014 National Exhibition” June 5-14, in New York City.

Medals were presented to the creators of the most outstanding art pieces in this national competition. There are 28 categories in both the arts and writing sections of the competition. Each student’s teacher is honored along with the student.
