On the Road with Gray Terry

On The Road with Candidate Gray Terry Post 5 City of Peachtree Corners

It has been a wonderful experience criss-crossing the City of Peachtree Corners over the past 2 months. From the Chattahoochee River to Winters Chapel Road, the feedback has been positive. This was the main reason that I decided to run for Post 5,  and to represent the diversity of the City and provide the Leadership for the Future of a 21st Century that can prove that limited government can work.

So here is a composite of questions that I have encountered along the door to door meetings with citizens of the city.

Will the City Build a City Hall? My answer is No!  At least in the Short and Intermediate Term. As we have witnessed, there is an abundance of Office Space available for leasing within the City. This provides the opportunity to secure space via a RFP that provides build out specifications, for not only the City Operations, but also the Municipal Court and associated City Offices.

If I receive a traffic ticket in Peachtree Corners will I appear in Municipal Court of Peachtree Corners? The answer is No! The Municipal Court will have limited jurisdiction to hear Code Enforcement Violations. Gwinnett County will continue to provide Law Enforcement Jurisdiction, and the Recorders Court of Gwinnett County will remain the final Court of Record.

Will there be expenses related to buiding a City Jail?  No! Since Gwinnett County will still provide law enforcement duties within the city boundaries, those charged will be processed at the Gwinnett Detention Center.
