Appetizers to Make Your Party Shine

With ongoing tailgate parties and the holidays just around the corner, there is always a need for some good party food.

Debra Halpern and her husband Harold, raised their family here in Peachtree Corners. As Debra says, “We chose to raise our family in Peachtree Corners because of it's family-oriented neighborhoods, good reputation for schools, multitude of shopping and dining options, and most importantly good people ... many who have become our closest friends.”

With lots of friends and family to enjoy spending time with Halpern is often in the kitchen preparing something good to eat. She says that her favorite recipes are usually those she collects from friends. She enjoys looking back over the recipe and recalling the person who shared it with her.

With football season here and the holidays coming up soon the Haperns will no doubt be having people over. “Harold and I entertain a lot, whether it be just socializing or a holiday. No matter which, you can bet we're having something to eat and drink.”, she explains.

Below are two of Halperns favorite appetizer recipes. I heard her mention to her friend, Leah Ver Steeg, which recipes she was giving me. Ver Steeg smiled when she heard the choices. Serve these at your house and you’ll have people smiling too.
