Neighborhood Home Values Affected by Strong Public Schools

Strong schools play a huge role in creating strong communities and increasing home values. If you are looking for a place to call home or selling a home, make sure you know the positive things about the schools in your neighborhood.

Simpson Elementary has long been a positive influence in the property values in Peachtree Corners. Visiting the school's website is a great way to learn about the school. For the seventh year in a row they have been awarded the Platinum award for highest achievement on the CRCT.  Parental involvement is among the best in the state. Consistently achieving the highest levels on all standardized testing Simpson is always ranked one of the top schools in the state.

Peachtree Elementary holds the distinction of being one of the few elementary schools where your child can be in the International Baccalaureate program (IB).

This is the mission statement for the IB program. The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. 

Peachtree Elementary is a a Title one school and therefore qualifies for additional funding which can be used to benefit all students.  Peachtree was also named a School of Excellence.

Berkeley Lake Elementary has been the recipient of many honors over the years. One of the the mosts exciting is that last year Berkeley Lake Elementary ranked number one in the state in language arts for Georgia.  

Pinckneyvile Middle School has also received many awards over the years. Named a school of excellence and a Blue Ribbon school. Pinckneyville also has one the highest gifted student populations in Gwinnett County. It is an International Baccalaureate school as well.

Norcross High School is a hub of exciting things happening. It is one of the few schools in the state where you can obtain your International Baccalaureate degree. Norcross is ranked the top IB school in the state.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8 (AP Day in Georgia), Georgia State Superintendent Dr. John Barge named Norcross High School an Advanced Placement (AP) Honor School.   Not only achieving high levels academically, Norcross High School has one of the best sports programs in the state.

These are the public schools in Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake. Having this exciting information will help that buyer determine this is a great area to call home.

This area is also fortunate to have some of the strongest private schools in Georgia. Wesleyan,  Cornerstone Christian Academy Greater Atlanta Christian Perimeter School
