Please permit me a moment to explain why reading this blog might be beneficial to you and your family. In today's age of 24/7 cable news and instant access to
everything on the web, I believe that more is not better. Rather, it's quite
easy for all of it to begin to sound more like noise than helpful information.
And I think there is no better example of that than the topic of retirement

component for successful retirement planning. If you listen to the government
reports on inflation, it sounds and reads like inflation is no problem.
Inflation is measured as "Core CPI," which stands for Consumer Price
Index. Yet we all know that the cost of gasoline and food have both increased
dramatically just in the last year. Well, did you know that neither food nor
energy is counted as part of CPI? That's right. Our government's main measure
