Tintype Prints for Mother's Day

I became a mother almost exactly a year ago. This tiny human that I brought into the world not only captured my heart, but forever changed my life. Though being a mom is the hardest job I've ever done, (and I used to teach middle school special education!) it is by far the best thing that has happened to me.

For the past year, I've been taking a photo of my daughter every day on a little app on my phone. My plan is to turn them into a baby book of sorts, documenting her first year of life. Usually before I go to sleep each night I'll scroll through the past few days and weeks, looking at her pictures. While I love having hundreds of pictures on my phone, I also love to display my favorites around our house. Luckily, my husband Josiah has developed a way to turn digital photographs into what we call Tintype Prints. Tintype Prints are a photograph directly on a piece of metal, and the white parts are silver. Josiah uses wet-plate techniques from the 1850s, merged with today's technology to create these tintypes. We believe that your beloved photographs deserve to be displayed, in a unique and timeless way.

Mother's Day and Father's Day are both coming soon. One thing I've learned in my almost year as a mom is how much I love pictures of my kid. Give the gift of a beautiful photograph this year to show your appreciation to your parents.

We also have a studio in Peachtree Corners where you can come have your tintype portrait made. Upcoming portrait days are May 2&3, June 13&14 and July 11&12.
