New Rainbow Village Campus Opens

At long last, Peachtree Corners' Nancy Yancey sees her dream become a reality as the Duluth campus officially opens.

Ten homeless families with children from Duluth and Norcross will soon be moving into Rainbow Village’s new Duluth campus soon following a ribbon-cutting that was held Friday.

The ribbon for the new campus was cut by Peachtree Corners' Rev. Nancy Yancey, CEO of Rainbow Village; Asst. Bishop Keith Whitmore of the Atlanta Episcopal Diocese; his wife Suzie Whitmore, a Rainbow Village advocate; the Rev. Joel P. Hudson, who founded Rainbow Village when he was rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Norcross; Rainbow Village Chief Operations Officer Dr. John Smith; and Sandra Cathy, Rainbow Village Chief Development Officer.

The new facilities are part of a $6-million project being built in three phases.
