Saturday Funeral Services for Norcross Couple Killed in Wreck

Long-time Norcross residents Jess Willard Haygood and Sara Pauline Haygood died Monday in a car accident in Barrow County. The following is an obituary provided by Crowell Brothers Funeral Home of Peachtree Corners.

Jess Willard Haygood, 80, and Sara Pauline Haygood, 67, of Norcross, GA, passed away December 10, 2012.

The funeral will be Saturday, December 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners, GA. Burial will follow at Warsaw Cemetery in Johns Creek, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 14th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Haygood is survived by his daughters, Lu Baker of Grayson and Jessica Mantle of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Gail Haygood; and sisters, Genny Weaver and Minnie Gantert.

Mrs. Haygood is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Soly Holder of Arlington, VA and Alex and Jennifer Holder of Duluth; their grandchildren, Adam, Brandalyn, Corey and Alisha (Corey’s fiancé), Ian, Jeremy and Katherine; their great-grandchildren, Chloe and Shelby.
