FOX 5 News anchor Amanda Davis faces multiple charges including DUI following a wrong way, head-on crash early Sunday morning on Piedmont Avenue in Midtown.
According to an Atlanta police report, Davis allegedly was driving her vehicle north in the southbound lanes of Piedmont before hitting another car just before 12:30 a.m.
Neither driver was injured in the accident that resulted in significant damage to both cars. According to the report, Davis admitted to consuming alcohol but refused to take a breathalyzer test.
In a addition to DUI, Davis was charged with failure to maintain lane and reckless driving. FOX 5 reported the incident on its website late Sunday.
The Emmy Award-winning Davis has been at FOX 5 since 1986 and co-anchors for the station’s news at 6 p.m and 10 p.m.
