Body Found In Chattahoochee River

A body was found early Saturday morning in the Chattahoochee River near Johns Creek.

Rescue crews have pulled a body from the Chattahoochee River.

The drowning occurred between Abbotts Bridge and States Bridge, according to Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge, who said Johns Creek Police is handling the investigation.

According to CBS Atlanta, a boater reported seeing a body floating in the river near the Abbotts Bridge Park early Saturday morning.

Water rescue teams from Johns Creek Fire and Gwinnett Swiftwater Rescue responded, and discovered the body in the river.
