China Garden Robbed at Gunpoint by Two Masked Men

As the robbers were fleeing, one used his gun to hit an employee in the face. The restaurant is located near Norcross High School.

Another Peachtree Corners restaurant was recently hit by gun-wielding robbers - this time China Garden, located in a shopping center on the corner of Medlock Bridge Road and Spalding Drive was the target.

Just a few weeks ago on Christmas Eve, two masked men held up the Pizza Hut on Peachtree Parkway and got away with over $600 in cash.

In this incident, three China Gardens employees were surprised on a recent Wednesday night (Dec. 29) around 10 p.m. when two masked men described as "black males wearing ski masks" walked into the restaurant demanding money.

One was carrying a small black handgun.

Hong Chen, one of the victims told Gwinnett Police that the man with the gun made his way behind the store counter and demanded she "open the register and give me the savings."

The robber took the money from the register and he and his partner started to flee but met another employee, Zhadyan Chen, who was just walking in. Chen tried to stop the two men but was struck in the face by the gunman.

The men escaped with about $500 in cash and were last seen running on foot toward Spalding Drive.

One witness told police he had seen the two men enter the store just before putting on their masks. The witness told police he thought the two lived in the area of Country Club Apartments or Medlock Woods Apartments.

Descriptions of the two suspects:

Black male, 6'0", 170 pounds, 16-20 years old wearing dark colored clothing - and dark gloves
Black male, 5'7", 170 pounds, 16-20 years old wearing dark colored clothing - and dark gloves

One witness, told police that the taller of the two men, who was unarmed, walked with a limp.
