Cops Have Another Person of Interest in McDonald's Shooting

The victim was shot in the leg as he stood in the parking lot with friends.

Gwinnett Police detectives are looking to identify another person of interest in connection with the June 20 shooting in a McDonald’s parking lot that injured a Norcross man.

The man was shot in the leg as he stood with friends on the 1600 block of Indian Trail Road. The McDonald’s is located next to a QuikTrip gas station. The shot came from a passing vehicle in the parking lot. The man was not  targeted, witnsses said.

Last week, police released surveillance images of four people of interest in the case.

The latest person of interest, described as heavy-set Hispanic male, was also at the QuikTrip before the incident. Police released his image Friday (see attached to this file).

Police are asking anyone with information on the subject in the image to contact investigators at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org. Crime Stoppers tipsters are eligible to receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
