Smith said that Aguilar-Guerrero was still at the scene and holding a pistol when police arrived at around 10:40 p.m. He was arrested without incident.

Smith said the man and woman knew each other. She is married, but “the suspect made it known to her that he wanted the victim to leave her husband,” Smith said in the press release. “It was apparently the suspect’s desire that he and the victim be together.”
