Eye Gallery at The Forum Burglarized

One of the front doors was broken and $23,000 worth of designer eye glasses were stolen.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Eye Gallery, located next to Belk's at The Forum was burglarized.

One of the glass front doors was broken and the Cartier/Dita case was broken into. Some 30 pairs of designer glasses valued at almost $23,000 were stolen from the store.

The store manager reported the incident who told police that on the Saturday before the burglary a black male who had visited the store and his only interest was looking at the Cartier/Dita case.

The manager told police that the man didn't want any help and that he "seemed off." He was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, dark skinned, wearing dark jeans and a dark shirt and the bottom of shoes had neon green soles.

The manager told police that the mall security leaves at midnight.
