Gwinnett Couple Allegedly Defrauded Insurance Customers

The pair are accused of taking insurance premium payments for personal use.

A Gwinnett insurance agent and her husband were arrested last week and charged with insurance fraud by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.

According to 11 Alive, investigators believe that Cynthia "Cindi" Dunn, the owner of the Dunn Right Insurance Agency in Loganville, and her husband Ronald "Ronnie" Dunn accepted premium payments from three clients' liability and worker's compensation insurance but kept the money for themselves.

To complete the ruse, Dunn allegedly created fake insurance certificates for the businesses the couple was defrauding.

Cynthia Dunn bonded out of Walton County Jail shortly after she and her husband turned themselves in on June 24. Ronald Dunn remains in custody.

Cynthia Dunn was charged with forgery, insurance fraud, and misappropriation of premiums. If convicted of insurance fraud, Dunn could face 10 years' imprisonment and a $10,000 fine. Her insurance license may also be revoked.

Ronald Dunn is facing three counts of forgery, seven counts of insurance fraud, two counts of identity fraud, and three counts of licensing violations. Ronald Dunn is not licensed to sell insurance. He is listed on the Dunn Right Insurance Agency's website as belonging to the administration department.

The Dunn Right Insurance Agency is located on Lee Byrd Road in Loganville. According to the agency's Patch listing, it specializes in personal and business insurance, including workers’ compensation coverage.
