Two Peachtree Corners Parks Among Sites of Recent Auto Break-ins

GCPD is investigating a rash of automobile break-ins in the county, including Peachtree Corners.

According to Cpl. Jake Smith, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, two Peachtree Corners area parks, Jones Bridge Park and Pinckneyville Park, were among the sites of recent automobile break-ins that police are investigating.

Have you had your car or truck broken into in the last several months? If so, you're not alone.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating a series of car break-ins that began in October 2012 and have continued into January 2013.

Detectives have connected a total of 21 cases to the same suspect, according to Cpl. Jake Smith. Typically the suspect targets vehicles in parks and churches, Smith said.

This suspect has used victims’ credit and debit cards at several retail locations following the break-ins. Ritter described him as a black male of average height and build who appears to be in his 30s or 40s. He has been seen using an older model white pickup truck and a four-door passenger car of unknown color.
