I-85 North Shut Down Due to Fatality
Gwinnett Police reported just before 6 p.m. Wednesday that I-85 North is entirely shut down due to a traffic fatality at the I-985 split.
I-85 North is entirely shut down at the I-985 split due to a fatal motorcycle wreck, according to Gwinnett County Police. Cpl. Jake Smith said traffic is being diverted onto I-985 north.
"The deceased was operating a motorcycle when he was hit by a truck. There were no other injuries," Smith said in a release, adding no further information is available at this time.
