Police have charged a Winder, Ga., man in the death of Angela Rabotte, the Gwinnett County mother who was found dead in a wooded area in early April.
Lilburn Police said Charles Outlaw, who was with Rabotte, 26, when she was last seen on March 29, is being charged with malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm. Outlaw, 29, is already in the Gwinnett County jail on unrelated drug charges.
Outlaw was served with the arrest warrants on Thursday, July 10, Lilburn Police said in a news release on July 11.
Rabotte’s body was found by workers in a wooded area near Arcado Road and Lilburn Industrial Way on April 3. She died of a gunshot wound, police said.
Rabotte was reported missing some time after she dropped her 3-year-old daughter off at a friend’s house before attending a party in Atlanta on Friday, March 28. She was last seen at 6 a.m. Saturday, March 29, in the parking lot at Steeplechase Apartments on Singleton Road in unincorporated Norcross.
“After an exhaustive investigation by Lilburn Police Investigators, warrants were obtained for Outlaw,” the news release stated.
The case has been forwarded to the Gwinnett County DA’s office. Lilburn Police said it will not comment further on the case.
