Guilty: Reco West Gets Life in Prison for the 2012 Murder of Nick Jackson II
West was one of seven defendants in the case; five had already pleaded guilty or were convicted.
A Gwinnett County Superior Court judge sentenced Reco Dehaven West to life in prison Wednesday for his involvement in the murder of a 15-year-old Norcross High School student.
West, 22, was found guilty by the jury Wednesday morning of multiple charges, including malice murder and four counts of felony murder, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
West is one of seven people who were charged in the February 2012 home invasion killing of 15-year-old Nicholas Jackson II. Five defendants previously had been found guilty or accepted a guilty plea deal. Michael Earl Davis, who originally had been on trial with West, will be tried at a later date.

West is accused of being armed, but not firing a shot, in the home invasion and slaying of Jackson, a Norcross High freshman.
The group allegedly shot and killed Jackson as they searched for cash and drugs they believed Jackson’s father had at the house. Two of the defendants claimed Nicholas Jackson Sr. was a drug dealer. He was arrested in August 2012 on federal drug distribution charges.
