Scott was arrested after being evaluated and released from the hospital. He was charged with following too closely and two counts of 2nd degree vehicular homicide. He has since been released on bond.

Officials said speed and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in this accident. According to a press release, traffic had slowed at the accident location due to merging traffic from S.R. 20.

Three of the vehicles were all slowed or stopped in the right hand lane when the box truck hit the vehicle driven by Donna Keese, causing a chain reaction.
