Man Accused of Throwing Pet Dog Off Second-Floor Balcony
The dog, which suffered leg or hip injuries, apparently made a mess inside the apartment.
A man who became so upset at his dog for making a mess that he allegedly threw it off a second-floor balcony, has been charged with felony cruelty to animals.
Citing a Gwinnett Police incident report, the AJC reported Fidel Cornado-Alvarez is accused of throwing the dog from a height of around 14 feet at the Huntington Ridge Apartments on Windsor Woods Lane near Norcross.Β The alleged crime happened on Sunday, March 2.
This is an area south of Buford Highway and west of Jimmy Carter Boulevard near the city boundaries of Peachtree Corners and Norcross. The incident was apparently witnessed by neighbors.

The dog was injured with either broken back leg or hip, according to the newspaper.

Alvarez was still in the Gwinnett County Detention Center Wednesday afternoon, according to hail records. He was being held on $5,700 bond.
