Man in Critical Condition After Shooting Near Pappadeaux Restaurant

Shooting victim is expected to survive.

Police are investigating a Friday evening shooting near the Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen restaurant in Norcross that put a man in the hospital in critical condition.

According to media reports, the shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Friday.

Police said the shooting involved three cars in the parking lot of the restaurant. A man was shot multiple times and then ran into the restaurant and collapsed. He is expected to survive. The Gwinnett Daily Post reported he was shot multiple times in the back, WXIA-TV said he suffered a wound to his head.

Pappadeaux is located at 5635 Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Two cars pulled into the parking lot and gunfire was exchanged,” Norcross police Chief Warren Summers told WSB-TV.

The Daily Post reported police are looking for a Saturn and a silver Ford Explorer. The third vehicle was a P.T. Cruiser apparently driven by the victim.

The name of the victim has not been released.
