Man Purchasing Pellet Gun Robs Walmart With Knife

Gwinnett County Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Norcross-area Walmart with a knife.

Police said the man, who was caught on video by the store surveillance camera, robbed the Walmart located at 4975 Jimmy Carter Boulevard near Norcross on Jan. 30.

According to a media release issued by Gwinnett Police, the man went to the cashier to purchase a pellet gun when he brandished a knife and lunged at the cashier. He then took “a large sum of cash from the register and fled the store on foot.”

Police describe the man as a black male, 180-220 pounds, between 6 feet and 6-4 and in his 30s. He was wearing a brown jacket with a fur hood, blue jeans, a blue beanie hat and tan boots. He possibly has a beard.
