Restaurant Robbed at Gunpoint By Man Wearing Gray-Hooded Sweatshirt

A lone gunman demanded money from the clerk while pointing a large gun at her chest then made his get-a-way in a red Cadillac Escalade SUV.

A lone gunman held up a Peachtree Corners restaurant, Los Tortas Locas, recently and got away with about $150.00 in cash.

The restaurant is located inside of a Shell Gas Station on the 6000 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The front register clerk, Zaida Garcia-Perez, told police that a black male wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head approached the register and told her, "I need something."

Then the man described as 30 to 35 years old, 5'08" and about 150 pounds, pulled out a large framed automatic handgun and said "Open the register. Give me all the money. Don't move."

The clerk told police afterwards that the man continued pointing the gun directly towards her chest during the incident.

The man then fled the restaurant and was seen climbing into the front passenger side of a red Cadillac Escalade SUV with a temporary tag.

Witnesses told police they saw the vehicle travel through the service station parking lot and head south on the Peachtree Industrial Boulevard access road.

Garcia-Perez told police the man wore a gold bracket over his front top teeth, black cargo pants and black latex gloves on his hands. The robbery took place shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014.
