Missing Mother, 26, Found Dead; Police Investigating As Homicide

Angela Rabotte, 26, had been missing since Saturday. She attended a Friday party in Atlanta after dropping off daughter, 3, with friend.

The deceased woman who was found Thursday morning in Lilburn has been identified as the Norcross-area mother who had been missing since Saturday.

According to Gwinnett County Police, Angela Rabotte, 26, was found by a survey crew near the intersection of Arcado Road and Lilburn Industrial Trail Way around 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3.

“Foul play is suspected and the case is now a homicide investigation,” Gwinnett Police spokesman said. “Lilburn Police will be the lead agency in the investigation.”

Rabotte was reported missing some time after she dropped her 3-year-old daughter off at a friend’s house before attending a party in Atlanta on Friday, March 28. She was last seen at 6 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot at Steeplechase Apartments on Singleton Road in unincorporated Norcross.

The body of a dead woman was found in the Lilburn area, according to police.

The woman was found near Lilburn Industrial Way Thursday morning, according to reports.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reported police are treating the incident as a homicide. The AJC reported a Lilburn Police spokesman the body had been there about two days.

The identity of the woman was not immediately known.
