News Nearby: Mailbox Thief Caught on Camera; Have You Seen Him?

Norcross PD says man seen in surveillance image is one of 2 suspects.

The Norcross Police Department is looking for the public’s help in locating two people who forcibly broke into around 50 mailboxes at an area apartment complex.

Lt. Bill Grogan of the Norcross PD said in an email that the incident occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4 at the Los Colinas Apartments on Brook Hollow Parkway.

The thefts were caught on a surveillance camera, which captured an image of one of the suspects.

On 3/4/14, between 4:30 and 5:00 am, approximately 50 mailboxes were forced open and the mail within each was stolen at the Los Colinas Apartments at 5651 Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross.  The suspects arrived in a gray or light blue 4 door SUV.  A white male was captured on the apartment complex’s video surveillance prying open the mailboxes and mail from inside.  Still photos attached.  Video surveillance can be downloaded at https://app.box.com/s/t303raxm03gc6iw2j6pz

Suspect 1: White male wearing white pants and a light gray or light brown jacket and a gray shirt.  He has curly hair that was pulled back into a pony tail and was wearing a pair of glasses on his face and a second pair of glasses on his head.  He appeared to have a lanyard with some type of ID hanging around his neck.  He is about 5’5” – 5’7”, 155-160 lbs. 

 

Suspect 2: The driver of the vehicle and was not seen
