Pellet-Gun Shooter Damages Several AC Units at Peachtree Corners Business

Owner tells police 5 AC units were inoperable.

A Peachtree Corners business wanted to crank up the AC during a recent stretch when temperatures rose to spring-like levels, but there wasn’t any cool air coming through the vents.

The reason? Someone shot BBs or pellets at the AC units in the back of EC Services on Holcomb Bridge Road and severely damaged them.

According to a Gwinnett Police incident report obtained by Peachtree Corners Patch, five of six air-conditioning units were not working, apparently because of the damages.

The owner of the company told police on Feb. 24 that the vandalism occurred sometime before he tried to turn the system on a few weeks ago.

When he checked the units, he found several small holes in the sides.

The holes were caused by β€œsome sort of airsoft gun, such as a BB gun or pellet gun, confirmed by one pellet being removed from one of the holes,” according to the incident report.

The officer wrote in the report the shots appeared to come from the direction of a townhouse building adjacent to the building property.

The damage was estimated at $5,000.
