Triple Shooting at Apartment Complex Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Wounded

One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shootout at a Peachtree Corners apartment complex Sunday night.

Gwinnett Police spokesman Officer Jeffrey Richter said “some type of altercation” was followed by gunshots around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bristol Court Apartments. The complex is located at 3655 Westchase Village Lane.

Police found three people with gunshot wounds at the scene, including one male who had died. A second male was seriously injured and taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in critical condition, according to Richter. A third person, a female, was treated for a minor gunshot wound.

“Early reports indicate there was some type of altercation in one of the apartments, which was followed by gunshots,” Richter said in a press release. “However, the exact details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting are still under investigation at this time.”

No other information was released.
