Police ID Suspect in Mailbox Break-Ins at Norcross Apartments

Wesley Lamance Allen, 28, of Lilburn, is suspected of breaking into around 50 mailboxes on March 4.

Multiple leads from citizens have enabled police to identify a Lilburn man as a suspect in mailbox break-ins last week in Norcross.

Norcross Police have a warrant out for Wesley Lamance Allen, 28, of Lilburn, on mail theft charges for breaking into around 50 mailboxes at Las Colinas Apartments in Norcross. The crimes occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. on March 4.

Norcross PD released surveillance photos and video from the incident last week, and spokesman Lt. Bill Grogan said that led to multiple leads from citizens who recognized Allen.

β€œAnyone with knowledge about Allen’s current whereabouts is asked to contact the Norcross Police Department at 770-448-2111, or their local law enforcement agency,” Grogan said in a media alert.

Police are also investigating who the driver was in the crimes. A getaway car was seen in the surveillance footage, but not the driver.
