Police Searching for Man Suspected of Four Armed Robberies on Buford Highway

Gwinnett Police are looking for a man who was carrying a black semi-automatic hand gun when he robbed a cell phone store. He is also suspected of three other similar holdups.

Gwinnett County Police are is searching for a man suspected of four armed robberies that occurred at two cell phone stores on Buford Highway.

Two stores, T-Mobile and MetroPCS were held up at gunpoint by a man described as a black male, 5'6" to 5'9" approximately 140 to 160 pounds with short facial hair. The suspect was armed with a large framed, semi-automatic handgun.

The robberies happened at the Norcross Village Shopping Center, 6200 Buford Highway, which is located just south of Jimmy Carter Boulevard, in an unincorporated area of Norcross. The shopping center is located across the street from Peachtree Corners city limits. 

Police suspect the same man may have robbed both stores. On Nov. 22 shortly after 2 p.m. a man armed with a black semi-automatic handgun entered T-Mobile and demanded cash from an employee. 

Four days later the MetroPCS store was robbed. The same store was hit again on Nov. 29. Then a man, police suspect responsible for the first three robberies, hit the T-Mobile store again on Dec. 6.

In the last robbery the man "was wearing a yellow sweatshirt with light blue sleeves, this sweatshirt appeared to be part of a 'Wolverine' Marvel character costume," said Corporal Ed Ritter, spokesperson for the Gwinnett Police Department.
