Gwinnett County police arrested three Norcross High School last Thursday in connection with a rape.
According to the police report an adult woman who has not been identified, met the three young Hispanic males at a restaurant located on the 6200 block of Buford Highway in unincorporated Norcross on the evening of Sept. 27 and had gone outside to smoke a cigarette with them.
"The three suspects attacked the victim and dragged her into some bushes behind the restaurant," said Cpl. Jake Smith, Gwinnett County police spokesman. "They beat the victim with their fists and took turns sexually assaulting her."
The three fled and the victim found her way to an apartment nearby where residents offered help and called the police.
The officers who responded found the victim with extensive bruising, lacerations and swelling. She was transported to a local hospital and sexual assault center for evaluation.
Gwinnett Police's Special Victims Unit (SVU) detectives took over the investigation They used information from the victim and those at the restaurant to arrest Victor Cruz-Ramirez, 16, Marvin Leonel Sanchez, 16 and Kevin Dominguez, 18. All three were charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
Dominguez is in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. Cruz and Sanchez are charged as adults but because of their age, are in the custody at the Gwinnett Regional Youth Detention Center.
