On Saturday, friends and family will gather in Norcross for a dedication ceremony for Nicholas Jackson at Rossie Brundage Park. The 15-year-old freshman was fatally shot in his Norcross home during a home invasion in early February.

In honor of Jackson, a cherry tree and dedication plaque have been placed in the park between the basketball courts, pavillion and along the first base side of the baseball field, said Wende Lynn, one of the frontrunners of the dedication project.
