Two Masked Men Rob Pizza Hut Employees at Gunpoint

The Peachtree Corners store was held up by two males who escaped in a late model white Dodge Challenger. They are still at large.

The Pizza Hut on Peachtree Parkway was recently held up by two men, both wore masks and one carried a black revolver.

It was past 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, when two masked men entered the restaurant and walked through the kitchen's swinging doors to the back pointing a black revolver at one employee and demanding money.

One of the employees, Ernie Mulic, 35, who had just finished his shift and was about to leave, saw the two masked men enter the store and ran out the back door to find help. He stopped at the first place he found open, the IHOP a few doors down and asked one of the customers to call 911.

The robbers demanded money from the two employees still inside, Aaron Garcia, 30, and Alejandro Rodriguez, 20. Rodriguez opened the cash register, the unarmed robber grabbed the cash from the register then struck the employee on the head.

Rodriguez told police the robber who had struck him then grabbed him and dragged him to the rear of the store demanding his cell phone.

The armed robber then demanded Garcia open the safe. But Garcia told him he couldn't open it. The robber kept demanding that he open it, Garcia told police  the armed man kept saying, "No body wants to die tonight right?"

Garcia opened the safe and the two robbers escaped with over $600 in cash, leaving in a late model white Dodge Challenger that headed south toward Holcomb Bridge Road.

Two other employees, Barrington Stennett and Flor Perez, both were in the back of the restaurant talking to Mulic when they saw the two masked men talking to Garcia and Rodriguez. The two hid in the restaurant's freezer and called 911.

Later while the Gwinnett police officer was interviewing witnesses, the store received a phone call from someone asking if the "pizza had been delivered already." The store employees said they don't usually receive calls that late in the evening. The employee asked what address and the caller said "Holcomb Way" and then hung up the phone.
