5 Things to Know This Week

This week it's all about the upcoming candidate forums - and getting to know the 19 candidates who are running for the six council seats for the new city of Peachtree Corners.

 

1. Come meet the candidates running for the Post 1 city council seat Monday night at from 7:30 - 9 p.m. This is the first of three candidate forums sponsored by UPCCA. Post 1 candidates: Nneka Chukwu, and have been invited along with the 11 candidates running for the three at-large seats for Post for 4, 5 and 6.

2. And on Tuesday night the candidates running for the Post 2 city council seat will be participating in the -sponsored candidate forum, same place, same time as the Post 1 forum. Come meet Post 2 candidates and . Also on hand will be the candidates for Post 4, 5 and 6. Mike Mason, who is running unopposed for Mayor is expected to be at all three forums. The forum for Post 3 is scheduled for Feb. 6.

3. If you're not able to attend the forum for the candidates in your voting district, you can keep up with the action on a live blog beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the Peachtree Corners Patch website. We'll be blogging live during the three candidate forums. To participate just send me (Patch editor, Judy Putnam,) your email address in advance so we can set you up to blog. 4. Do you know who the 11 candidates running for the three seats for Post 4, 5 and 6 are? Regardless of which voting district you are in, you'll be voting for a candidate for Post 4, 5 and 6. Here's a list, just click on the names and it will take you to the candidate profiles to review their information.
