Absentee Voting in Chairman's Race Begins Feb. 14

Voter registration deadline for the special March 15 Gwinnett election also Feb. 14

Absentee voting for the special election to fill the unexpired portion of former Gwinnett County Chairman Charles Bannister’s term gets underway next Monday.

Four candidates –  – are vying for the opportunity to become the next chair of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners.

Absentee voting for the March 15 special election begins Monday, Feb. 14. The voter registration deadline for the special election is also Feb. 14.

Absentee ballot application forms and voter registration forms are available online or by calling 678-226-7210.

Advanced voting will be held March 7-11 at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 200, Lawrenceville. Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On March 15, voters will cast ballots at their assigned precincts. A runoff, if necessary, will be held April 12.
