Advanced, Absentee Voting Available for Runoff Elections

Not going to be in town for the Peachtree Corners elections on April 3rd? You can cast your vote before you go.

Peachtree Corners long-awaited first city elections are over, but the majority of city council seats, Posts 3, 4, 5 and 6, are still undecided which means voters will be heading back to the polls for runoff elections on April 3.

The date falls during spring break for Gwinnett County schools as well as some private schools. If you plan on being out of town that week, you'll still be able to cast your vote before you go.

"Advanced and Absentee voting will be available for the runoffs," said Lynn Ledford, Director of the Gwinnett County's Elections Office. "But due to the short time between election dates, voters will need to come to the Lawrenceville office for advanced voting," she said.

Ledford said she expects to have the ballots for advanced voting in the elections office the week of March 19 but suggests voters call before coming to ensure the ballots are available.
