Candidate Qualifying Dates Coming Up For City Elections

Three Peachtree Corners council seats are up for re-election.

Three of the six Peachtree Corners City Council seats will be on the ballot in the fall. On Nov. 5, 2013, voters have an opportunity to cast their votes to fill the seats for Posts 2, 4 and 6.

Those seats are currently held by Jay Lowe (Post 2), Jeanne Aulbach (Post 4) and Weare Gratwick, (Post 6). All three council members have confirmed with Patch that they intend to run again.

For those contemplating throwing their hats in the ring to run for one of these council seats, qualifying has been set for Monday, Aug. 26 through Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Qualifying will be held at Peachtree Corners City Hall, 147 Technology Parkway from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Aug 26-28).

The qualifying fee for the office of City Council is $240.00 which is 3 percent of the total gross council member's salary. Qualifying will be conducted in the office of the City Clerk, Kym Chereck.
