City Council to Hold Special Called Meeting Tuesday

On the Peachtree Corners council agenda: approving property maintenance codes, community development updates and other matters.

Peachtree Corners City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Fowler YMCA for a special called meeting.

On the agenda:

Update from Diana Wheeler, Community Development Director on planning issues and an update on the RFP for community development services.

In old business:

The mayor and council will consider adopting a Property Maintenance Code for the city (second read).

In new business the mayor and council will:

Consider an ordinance adopting the 2013 council meeting calendar (first read).

Consider an ordinance authorizing the agreement with Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) to participate in the GMA's employees benefit system (first read).

Consider an ordinance adopting solid waste services in the City of Peachtree Corners (first read).

Two action items:

1. Consider approving the bid award for Development Services for the city.

2. Consider authorizing the notification to Gwinnett County regarding city services including building plan review, building permitting services, commercial sanitation services, by Feb. 1, 2013.

Public comments are included as an agenda item. The public is welcome during this portion of the meeting to make comments to the mayor and City Council.
