Early Voting in Gwinnett for 2012 Elections Begins Oct. 15

There will be satellite voting offices in several locations near Peachtree Corners before Election Day.

Election Day 2012 is near in Peachtree Corners and Gwinnett, and advance voters will be able to cast ballots for national and local races later in October.

According to the county website and newsletter, registered voters can cast ballots from Monday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Nov. 2 at the county Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Voting on Saturday will be available on Oct. 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Also, there will be satellite voting in Norcross at Lucky Shoals Park from Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Satellite locations also will be available in Suwanee, Snellville and Dacula.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, with all voting at local Gwinnett precincts.

In addition to the presidential race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, there is a race of much interest to Peachtree Corners and Gwinnett. The Gwinnett school board District III race is at stake, between incumbent Dr. Mary Kay Murphy and challenger Jen Falk.

Also of interest will be the State Representative race between incumbent Tom Rice (R-Dist. 52) and challenger Brooke Sisken of Peachtree Corners.
