GDOL Sponsoring Job Fair in Gwinnett

Fair for veterans, disabled veterans and other job seekers set for April 19.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Gwinnett Career Center will sponsor a job fair on Tuesday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans, disabled veterans and other area job seekers.

The job fair will be held at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, located at 2025 Satellite Point in Duluth.

The fair will feature a number of employers and resource agencies that provide assistance to veterans and other job seekers. Job seekers will be able to apply for existing openings, interview for available jobs and discuss upcoming job opportunities with employers. Applicants are encouraged to bring multiple resume copies.

Veteran’s representatives will also be available to assist veterans with filing claims for service-connected disabilities.

Participating employers and resource agencies include Alori Care-Division of Alorica, Avery Partners, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Cobb County Department of Public Safety, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Department of Veteran Affairs, Farmland Foods, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Goodwill of North Georgia,  Gwinnett County Police Department, Gwinnett Technical College’s Veterans Affairs Office, Healthport, Kelly Services, Lowe’s Home Centers, Meggitt Training Systems, Millennium Security Services, Noah’s Ark and Company, Ricoh, Staffing Advantage, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, U.S. Secret Service and United Parcel Service (UPS).

The job fair will focus primarily on the needs of veterans, but is open to the general public as well.
