Gingrich Speaking in Duluth on Super Tuesday

GOP presidential candidate to speak at Gwinnett Chamber breakfast March 6 at 1818 Club.

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has called his home state of Georgia important to his election success in 2012, and he's showing it again by returning to Gwinnett County.

The former U.S. House Speaker from Georgia plans to be in Duluth on Super Tuesday (March 6) and speak at a 7:45 a.m. Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Breakfast.

Gingrich recently spoke in Suwanee in Gwinnett and in Cumming in Forsyth County.

Georgia is among 11 states that will hold primaries or caucuses on March 6, and with 73 delegates at stake, this state is the biggest prize that day.

Gingrich will address Gwinnett Chamber members, metro Atlanta business leaders and others on his plans for leading the nation, according to an announcement about the breakfast issued by the chamber.

“I look forward to sharing my vision for America’s future with those who have made Gwinnett County such an economic powerhouse,” said Gingrich in the announcement. “Washington has a lot to learn from places like Gwinnett where it has been so welcoming to business and industry. As President, you will see my Administration do everything in its power to create jobs and once again get our nation’s economy back on track.”

The breakfast is scheduled from 7:45 a.m.-10 a.m. at the , 6500 Sugarloaf Parkway, in Duluth. Register and reserve a seat at www.gwinnettchamber.org/events. For more information, call 770-232-3000.

Tickets are $55 for chamber members and $60 for non-members.

Although polls show Gingrich leading in Georgia, he does not consider this state a given. "I need your help," he said in Suwanee. The uncertain nature of voters here was displayed during a straw poll that was taken during the Gwinnett GOP meeting in Suwanee that preceded Gingrich's speech. Ron Paul outpolled Gingrich. Gingrich now resides in Virginia.
