Gwinnett County Resumes Garbage Pick Up Monday

For Peachtree Corners residents, it will be Friday before haulers pick up garbage and recyclables.

The good news is that Gwinnett County residents will see the garbage and recycling trucks rumbling their the neighborhoods starting today. But for Peachtree Corners residents whose scheduled pick up date is Friday, it means a few more days of storing stinky week-old garbage.

Following is the official announcement from Gwinnett County along with a link to each hauler's center.

Trash collection will resume on Monday, January 17, 2011, on your scheduled pickup day. Please place your hauler-issued trash cart and any overage you have accumulated since the snow storm at the curb for collection. Remember to clearly mark your containers for recyclables. If you have bulky items that need to be collected, please contact your hauler to schedule a special pick up.

We appreciate your understanding during this week of unusually cold weather and extremely icy road conditions.

Please note that while Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 17, this is a regular trash and recycling pickup day and service will not be affected. The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recycling Call Center will be closed that day, but hauler call centers will be open. Click here to find your hauler's contact information.
