It's been five months since Peachtree Corners incorporated on July 1, 2012 and city leaders and staff have been working steadily at getting City Hall ready to open.
That day is just about here.
On Tuesday, Dec. 4, the first City Council meeting will be held in the new City Hall building at 7:30 p.m, though it will be next week before City Hall is open and functioning for Peachtree Corners residents.
"We're real close to being ready to open," said City Manager Julian Jackson. "By Monday [Dec. 10] we should be fully operational."
City Hall is located at 147 Technology Parkway, and if you're not sure where that is exactly, just look for the small blue signs marked "City Hall" with directional arrows.
There are a total of 10 posted around town, said Diana Wheeler, Community Development Director for the city. The signs are called "way" signs which are used as directional signs.
Look for the signs on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Peachtree Parkway, Spalding Drive and Technology Parkway.
If you plan on attending the City Council meeting Tuesday, look for a sign at the front door which will guide you to the meeting room which is located on the left side of the building.
There's plenty of seating - and parking.
