Peachtree Corners Mayor Selected for Leadership Gwinnett's New Class
Mayor Mike Mason is among 42 community members chosen for the 2014 class.
Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason has been selected as one 42 participants in the new Leadership Gwinnett class.
Other participants include: Jay Nebel, a Norcross High School teacher; Doug Ireland, a Suwanee council member; and Diana Potts, chief nursing officer at Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth.

The participants' selection was based on work experience, accomplishments, community involvement and education, among other things.Â
As members, the class of 2014 will attend leadership retreats, learn more about Gwinnett County, participate in study groups and more.

The new class comes just as Leadership Gwinnett announces a new goal to raise $600,000 over the next five years, as reported in the Gwinnett Daily Post.
The fundraising is part of a new community-supported strategic plan, and a kickoff meeting is planned for June 19 in Duluth.Â
