Planning on Watching the State of Union Address?

President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address is tonight (Tuesday, Feb. 12). It will be  broadcast at 9 p.m. ET on major television networks.

Here’s some tips for enhancing your SOTU experience from www.WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU:

  • Watch the President's address tonight at 9 p.m. ET on WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU for an enhanced version of the speech that offers charts, facts and other info as the President speaks.
  • Stay tuned after the speech for a special panel with administration officials and a live audience. Questions from accepted from both the audience and from followers online. Asky questions using the hashtag #WHChat on Twitter.
  • After the speech the White House is launching Citizen Response, a brand new tool to give real feedback on the President's address by highlighting the parts of the President's address that mean the most to you and sharing with your friends. Click on WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU when the speech is over to be a part of it.
  • On Thursday, Jan. 14, President Obama will join the latest in a series of "Fireside Hangouts" -- a 21st century take on FDR's famous radio addresses. The President will answer questions online from Americans across the country about the issues and policies laid out in the speech. Ask your question and find out how to watch.
